Scientific Search has partnered with a well-funded clinical-stage oncology biotech developing next-generation antibody-drug conjugate therapies. They are seeking an Executive Director / Senior Director of Portfolio & Asset Strategy to lead integrated strategy across multiple clinical-stage oncology assets, working closely with senior leadership to shape development strategy and portfolio prioritization.
Responsibilities
• Lead asset-level strategy across clinical-stage oncology programs including target product profiles, indication prioritization, biomarker strategy, clinical development planning, and commercial positioning
• Translate complex clinical and scientific data into clear strategic recommendations for executive leadership and Board-level discussions
• Partner closely with Clinical Development, R&D, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and CMC to align development strategy across the organization
• Integrate competitive intelligence, emerging clinical data, and market insights into ongoing portfolio strategy
• Support business development initiatives, including diligence on potential in-licensing opportunities and new technologies
• Contribute to partnering materials, investor communications, and strategic narratives supporting company growth
• Engage external consultants, advisors, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) to inform strategy and development decisions
Skills
• PhD, MD, PharmD, or MS/MBA with strong scientific and strategic background
• 5–10+ years of experience in biopharma portfolio strategy, asset strategy, or new product planning
• Experience in biopharma strategy consulting, investment banking, or equity research strongly preferred
• Strong oncology background with experience supporting clinical-stage programs
• Proven ability to operate effectively in small to mid-sized biotech environments
• Experience working closely with executive leadership teams
• Experience with antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), biologics, or targeted oncology therapies
• Experience in lung cancer (NSCLC/SCLC) and/or gynecologic oncology
• Background collaborating with Medical Affairs or translational science teams
