The RCM Automation Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day execution and delivery of AI and automation programs for assigned Tarpon clients. Reporting to the AVP of Program Management, this role owns individual client program delivery - managing automation roadmaps, coordinating solution design and development resources, and ensuring production stability across deployed AI and automation solutions. This role serves as the primary operational point of contact for client stakeholders, translating program strategy into structured execution plans. The ideal candidate combines hands-on experience with automation platforms and AI technologies with strong program management discipline and healthcare revenue cycle domain knowledge.

Responsibilities
Program Management
-Manage day-to-day delivery of AI and automation engagements for assigned client programs - owning scope execution, sprint planning, milestone tracking, and risk escalation to the AVP of Program Management Advise on technical setup and configuration strategy for automation platforms (UiPath, Power Automate), AI/ML applications, supporting infrastructure, and credential/access management
-Set up and manage cross-department AI and automation program governance at the client level, including steering committees, status reporting cadences, and decision logs
-Implement and manage the AI and automation lifecycle operating model for assigned clients, including:
▪ Integrating AI and automation lifecycle processes into the client's existing operational framework
-Creating and maintaining procedural documentation, runbooks, and operational training materials Build, manage, and execute the client AI and automation roadmap in alignment with the strategic direction set by the AVP of Program Management Implement and oversee the maintenance strategy for deployed solutions, including:
▪ Developing maintenance dashboards and KPIs
▪ Developing and implementing SOPs and SLAs for automation support
▪ Monitoring AI model/agent performance, flagging drift or degradation, and coordinating remediation
Program Resource Management
-Coordinate solution architect(s) throughout solution identification, feasibility assessment, and design - ensuring alignment with client requirements and program priorities.
-Coordinate AI and automation developer(s) throughout development, testing, UAT, deployment, and post-deployment stabilization
-Manage workload allocation and sprint capacity across assigned development resources, escalating staffing constraints to the AVP of Program Management
Client Relationship Management
-Serve as the primary operational point of contact for client stakeholders on program status, deliverable timelines, and issue resolution
-Report out to health system senior leadership on program updates, blockers and key milestones
-Work closely with the client automation program sponsor to ensure stakeholder alignment, timely feedback on deliverables, and resolution of blockers
-Surface expansion opportunities and unmet client needs to the AVP of Program Management for evaluation and scoping
AI & Automation Technical Engagement
-Maintain working knowledge of current AI and automation technologies, including agentic automation frameworks, intelligent document processing, and large language model integrations relevant to healthcare RCM
-Evaluate and recommend AI and automation tooling and approaches for client use cases, in coordination with the AVP of Program Management and solution architecture team
-Support proof-of-concept and pilot initiatives for new AI capabilities within assigned client programs
Tarpon Delivery
-Contribute to the development and refinement of Tarpon's delivery methodology, templates, and operational standards. Scale and improve the operations and processes needed to support the Managed Service Deliverables
-Document and share reusable patterns, lessons learned, and implementation playbooks across the delivery team
Tarpon Community
-Participate in Tarpon Community activities specific to Program Management activities, including but not limited to: Program Management Certification training, Webinars, Research, User Groups
Required Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
-5+ years of experience in healthcare operations, with a strong understanding of revenue cycle processes (denials, A/R follow-up, claims, coding, patient access)
-3 – 5 years of proven experience in program management, project management, or a related delivery leadership role
-3+ years of experience designing and developing scalable automation solutions using platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or Power Automate
-1+ years of practical experience with AI/ML technologies in a professional setting – including any combination of: LLM-based workflows, intelligent document processing, agentic automation, AI-assisted decision support, or prompt engineering
-Proficiency in process mapping tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, Canva, or GitMind
-Familiarity with budget tracking, resource planning, and sprint/delivery management
