We are hiring a Patient Outreach Consultant to support a U.S.-based dental healthcare provider serving nursing home residents. This role suits someone confident, personable, and who enjoys engaging with people in a consultative and supportive manner.
This is not a cold-calling or aggressive sales role. You will contact individuals who have already expressed interest in dental services, providing education, answering questions, and guiding them through the sign-up process to ensure a positive and informed experience.
NB! This role is ideal for someone who enjoyspeople interaction, relationship-building, and helping clients make informed decisions, without the pressure of commission-based sales.
PLEASE NOTE:
• Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST, (4:00 PM – 1:00 AM South African Time) These working hours are subject to change depending on daylight savings and/or operational requirements.
• Work Environment: This is a fully remote working role.
• Public Holidays: You will be required to work on both South African and U.S. public holidays (Compensation for SA public holidays in accordance with the BCEA).
• Internet Requirements: A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and the ability to support a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory. Applicants without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered.
• Power Backup: A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding and power outages. Applicants without a power backup cannot be considered.
Key Responsibilities
• Contact warm leads who have already expressed interest in dental services for nursing home residents
• Conduct outbound follow-ups via phone and email in a professional and empathetic manner
• Clearly explain dental service packages, benefits, and care options
• Guide potential patients and decision-makers through the sign-up process using a consultative, relationship-focused approach
• Respond to questions, address concerns, and provide reassurance throughout the process
• Accurately capture all interactions, notes, follow-ups, and outcomes in the CRM system
• Manage structured follow-ups and daily outreach tasks in line with defined processes
• Ensure a smooth, positive, and informed experience for each prospective patient
• Previous experience in outbound calling, sales support, call centre, or customer engagement roles
• Experience in healthcare, dental, medical aid, or patient-facing service environments is advantageous
• Excellent verbal communication skills with a friendly, professional, and patient manner
• Strong ability to build rapport and explain services clearly and confidently
• Comfortable working with targets and structured follow-ups in a non-commission environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
