Part-Time Academic Instructor (Remote) Mindful Makers – Structured Homeschool Curriculum (K–8) Mindful Makers is currently preparing content for the 2026–2027 academic year. We are hiring part-time academic instructors to assist with scripted content recording, platform training, and (after launch) grading and student communication. This is a remote position with phased responsibilities. Position Phases Phase 1: Pre-Launch (Now – August 2026) We are currently filming structured instructional content for the 2026–2027 school year. During this phase, instructors will: • Record scripted academic lesson videos • Complete structured platform training • Participate in grading calibration sessions • Learn internal rubrics and feedback standards Compensation: • Training time: $15–$18 per hour • Content filming: Paid per batch (rate discussed during interview; depends on grade band and video length) Content is scripted. Academic alignment is predetermined. Phase 2: Post-Launch (Beginning August 2026) After student enrollment begins, instructors will transition into: • Grading assignments and projects • Reviewing AI-generated grammar feedback before release • Providing concise academic comments • Responding to parent and student messages in-platform Compensation: • $15–$18 per hour for grading and messaging time • Assigned weekly hour targets based on enrollment This is asynchronous instruction only. There are no live teaching requirements. Responsibilities Instructional Video Recording • Record clear, structured, academically neutral lesson videos • Follow provided scripts • Meet production deadlines • Maintain consistent tone aligned to grade band Grading & Feedback • Grade submissions using structured rubrics • Confirm AI grammar checks before student release • Provide concise, constructive academic feedback • Meet 48–72 hour turnaround expectations Communication • Respond to parent/student questions within assigned work windows • Maintain professional and structured tone • Escalate concerns to administration when necessary Qualifications Required: • Bachelor’s degree (Education or related field preferred) • Strong writing and grammar skills • Experience teaching, tutoring, or homeschooling • Comfort recording instructional video • Ability to meet deadlines and productivity goals Preferred: • Experience with project-based learning • Experience grading upper elementary or middle school writing • Familiarity with homeschool families Ideal Candidate You are: • Structured and deadline-oriented • Calm and professional • Comfortable with rubric-based grading • Efficient with time management • Academically neutral in tone Mindful Makers maintains structured academic standards and expects instructors to uphold consistency and clarity.
