As a Mortgage Origination Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service related to FHA mortgage policies and procedures, utilizing your background in mortgage origination to assist clients effectively. About the Role This exciting opportunity involves working with the FHA Resource Center, where you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service, answering calls and emails regarding FHA guidelines and procedures, and utilizing your mortgage industry knowledge to find answers in a knowledge database for client requests. The position offers opportunities for telework after training based on performance and customer approval, allowing you to work flexibly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities - Provide excellent customer service by answering calls and emails regarding FHA guidelines and procedures, ensuring timely and accurate responses to client inquiries. - Utilize mortgage industry knowledge to find answers in a knowledge database for client requests, staying up-to-date on the latest FHA mortgage processes and procedures. - Follow standard operating procedures for various topics, systems, and contact channels, ensuring consistency and quality in customer interactions. - Document all contacts in a database accurately, maintaining detailed records of client interactions and resolutions. - Stay updated on FHA mortgage processes and procedures, participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your knowledge and skills. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements: - High School diploma or GED certificate, demonstrating a strong foundation in education and a commitment to learning. - Minimum of 2 years of mortgage origination experience (e.g., loan originator, loan processor, junior underwriter, loan officer), providing a solid understanding of mortgage industry principles and practices. - Minimum of 1 year of contact center or telephone customer service experience, demonstrating your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced customer-facing environment. - Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security clearance, including a credit check and background investigation, ensuring the highest level of integrity and trustworthiness. Nice-to-Haves While not essential, the following skills and qualifications are highly desirable: - Bilingual (Spanish & English), verbal and written, enabling you to communicate effectively with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders. - Strong FHA knowledge/background, demonstrating a deep understanding of FHA mortgage policies and procedures. - Contact center experience (Omnichannel), providing a solid foundation in customer service and contact center operations.
