Trade Lawyer Needed – IEEPA Tariff Dispute (Contingency Basis)
We are seeking an experienced international trade attorney to represent us in disputing tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). We are open to contingency fee arrangements for the right counsel.
About the Opportunity:
We are a specialized supplier of premium tactical communications equipment serving defense, law enforcement, and enterprise security markets. Recent tariff actions under IEEPA have created significant financial exposure for our business, and we believe there are strong grounds to challenge the application of these tariffs to our product categories.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience challenging IEEPA tariffs, Section 301 actions, or similar trade restrictions
Knowledge of customs classification, tariff engineering, and product exclusion processes
Track record with administrative appeals, exclusion requests, and Court of International Trade litigation
Experience working with importers of communications equipment, electronics, or tactical hardware preferred
Willingness to work on a contingency or hybrid fee arrangement based on tariff refunds/savings achieved
Scope:
Evaluate the merits of our dispute and potential recovery amount
Pursue administrative remedies, exclusion requests, and/or litigation as appropriate
Represent us before U.S. Customs, relevant agencies, and courts as needed
