You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑availability, secure connectivity, and optimal performance for millions of daily customer interactions. Key Responsibilities - Network Architecture & Design: Engineer and document scalable LAN/WAN solutions for campus and data‑center environments, incorporating best‑practice topology standards. - Infrastructure Deployment: Configure, install, and commission network hardware—including arenaflex routers, switches, and firewalls—to support new site rollouts and upgrades. - Hardware Refresh Management: Lead systematic refresh cycles, coordinating physical rack, cable, and label tasks while minimizing service disruption. - Secure Connectivity Solutions: Implement Remote Access VPNs, Site‑to‑Site VPNs, GRE tunnels, and DMVPN architectures to facilitate secure, high‑performance remote access for employees and partner sites. - Firewall Administration: Process firewall access requests, develop rule sets, and ensure compliance with security policies. - Routing & Switching Expertise: Execute BGP, OSPF, EIGRP routing changes, manage route redistribution, and fine‑tune switching protocols such as vPC, EtherChannel, StackWise, and VSS. - Advanced Technologies: Work with arenaflex Nexus and Catalyst platforms, configure VRF instances, and, where applicable, integrate SD‑WAN and ACI solutions to drive network agility. - Documentation & Diagrams: Maintain up‑to‑date network schematics, topology diagrams, and operational runbooks that are accessible to NOC and field teams. - Ticket Management & Support: Triage, resolve, and close network tickets in a timely manner, providing clear communication to stakeholders. - Outage Escalation & On‑Call Duty: Participate in on‑shift outage escalation as part of the Network Operations Center (NOC) and rotate on‑call responsibilities to ensure uninterrupted service. Essential Qualifications - Professional certification at the CCNP level or higher, or an equivalent depth of practical experience. - 4+ years of hands‑on experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprise LAN/WAN environments. - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences. - Deep understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and advanced switching concepts (vPC, EtherChannel, StackWise, VSS). - Proven track record of executing hardware refreshes on arenaflex routers, switches, and firewalls. - Experience configuring and managing VPN technologies (Remote Access, Site‑to‑Site, GRE, DMVPN). - Hands‑on expertise with arenaflex Nexus and Catalyst platforms, including VRF configuration and route redistribution techniques. - Familiarity with network monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and standard documentation practices. Preferred Qualifications & Nice‑to‑Have Skills - Experience with software‑defined networking (SD‑WAN) and Cisco ACI equivalent solutions. - Knowledge of network security frameworks, IDS/IPS integration, and secure coding practices. - Exposure to cloud‑based networking (AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute) and hybrid network architectures. - Project management exposure—ability to drive multi‑phase implementations from concept to production. - Previous experience in a high‑volume, customer‑support focused environment. Core Competencies for Success - Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex network issues, identify root causes, and develop systematic remediation plans. - Collaboration: Work effectively with cross‑functional teams—including NOC, security, application, and infrastructure groups—to deliver cohesive solutions. - Adaptability: Thrive in a fast‑changing environment where emerging technologies are rapidly adopted. - Ownership: Take end‑to‑end responsibility for network projects, from design documentation to post‑implementation validation. - Customer‑Centric Mindset: Recognize that every network decision impacts the end‑customer experience and align actions accordingly.
