Job Title: SAP BW / HANA Datasphere Consultant Location: New Jersey (Remote / Hybrid) Duration: 12+ Months Job Summary We are seeking an experienced SAP BW / HANA Datasphere Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Datasphere implementation and data migration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in replacing SLT with Datasphere and enabling data transfer from SAP S/4HANA to Azure Data Lake, along with deep knowledge of SAP BW, HANA, and reporting systems. Key Responsibilities <>Datasphere & Data Integration • Lead SAP Datasphere implementation initiatives • Enable data transfer from S/4HANA to Azure Data Lake using Datasphere • Replace traditional SLT (SAP Landscape Transformation) with Datasphere solutions • Design and optimize data pipelines and integration frameworks <>SAP BW / HANA Development & Support • Work on: • InfoObjects • DataSources • InfoCubes • Transformations and DTPs • Monitor data loads and process chains; troubleshoot and resolve errors • Handle interfaces and Open Hub services <>ABAP & Performance Optimization • Develop and maintain: • Start, End, and Field routines (BI ABAP) • Perform system performance tuning and optimization • Ensure efficient data processing and reporting <>Data Modeling & Reporting • Create and manage: • DSOs, SPO DSOs, Cubes • Virtual Providers, Composite Providers, Hybrid Providers, Open ODS • Develop reports using Query Designer: • Free characteristics • Filters • Restricted and calculated key figures • Variables, exceptions, and conditions <>Data Reconciliation & Validation • Perform reconciliation between source systems and reporting layers • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems <>HANA & Analytics Integration • Create optimized HANA views and data models • Support integration with reporting tools such as: • SAP BusinessObjects (BO) • Tableau <>Client Interaction & Leadership • Gather requirements and troubleshoot user issues • Lead client discussions and provide solution recommendations • Work in client-facing roles and support AMS environments Required Skills & Qualifications <>Core Skills • 12+ years of experience in SAP BW / HANA • 6+ years of AMS (Application Management Support) experience • Strong experience with: • SAP Datasphere implementation • S/4HANA data integration • SLT replacement strategies <>Technical Skills • SAP BW / HANA: • InfoObjects, InfoCubes, DSOs • Process chains, DTP, transformations • BI ABAP: • Start routines, end routines, field routines • HANA modeling and optimization • Data reconciliation and performance tuning <>Tools & Technologies • SAP BusinessObjects (BO) • Tableau or similar BI tools • Azure Data Lake integration Soft Skills • Strong client-facing and leadership skills • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities • Effective communication and stakeholder management Key Highlights • Work on modern SAP Datasphere and cloud data integration • Strong focus on S/4HANA to Azure data lake transformation • Opportunity to lead enterprise-scale SAP data modernization projects
