Purpose of Position:
Identify, procure new transportation and logistics business in order to meet organizational revenue and margin targets. Manage successful onboarding of all new business acquired to steady state. Successfully deliver a great customer experience throughout this process.
Accountabilities:
- Identify new potential customers, align on customer needs and matching with Tricont Logistic service offerings to generate sales revenue and margin growth.
- Handle new customer implementation including but not limited to: developing customer SLA, uploading rates into computer system, working with operations to assign dispatcher(s), creating email distribution list for customer, etc
- Complete or help facilitate the completion of all the “day to day” functions required to maintain customer’s expectations. These expectations may include: order/data entry, logistical scheduling, reporting service, and various requirements particular to each account.
- Coordinate communications between operations personnel and customers in order to provide timely resolutions and ensuring execution is meeting SL
- Acquire a level of expertise on each account over time to sell additional solutions and services to expands customer wallet spend with Tricont Logistics.
- Continually work with internal resources and the customers to identify account penetration opportunities to maximize customer wallet spend with Logistics by selling new logistics solutions, services and verticals.
- Utilize data, business intelligence, and reporting to drive customer service, align expectations and identify new business opportunities with the customers.
- Maintain current on industry trends, market conditions, and relevant news within the logistics space in order to deliver excellent value to our customers.
- Additional projects and tasks as assigned by organization to drive new business growth, generate growth and profitability for the company
Minimum Skills Required:
- High School diploma or GED, but college degree preferred
- 2-6 years customer service and transportation experience
- Ability to coordinate high volume phone skills
- Work independently and collaborate with other internal partners
- Knowledge of rates and tools necessary to develop pricing
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and investigation skills/abilities
- Proficient with Office software.
- Good analytical and organizational skills.
- Computer experience with Microsoft products like excel and email
- Preferred transportation experience
- Good/Great Communicator & customer service skills
Preferred:
- 4 year College Degree in Transportation/Logistics (or related business field), and/or a combination of specialized training, and/or equivalent work experience.
