The Sales Growth Specialist role focuses on relationship-driven sales, consultative discovery appointments, and building a personal book of business through trust and genuine rapport with clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct consultative discovery appointments: build genuine rapport, uncover unspoken needs, and guide customers toward decisions that protect their families and financial futures
- Use the F.O.R. method (Family, Occupation, Recreation) to move conversations from surface-level service to meaningful coverage exploration
- Identify real opportunities inside normal conversations -- a life transition, a new asset, a coverage gap -- and pivot naturally without disrupting the relationship
- Present solutions that match what the customer has already told you they value, not a product menu
- Handle objections using the customer's own words and priorities -- not just a rebuttal script
- Generate referrals and repeat appointments through remarkable service, not just cold outreach
- Follow up on warm leads, policy reviews, and missed connections with a relational approach
- Build a personal book of relationships within the agency's customer base that grows through trust
- Collaborate with the agency owner and support staff on seamless handoffs and consistent service quality
- Contribute to the agency's culture of celebration, development, and relational excellence
- Support cross-functional capabilities, including property and casualty, life insurance, health insurance, banking products, and financial services
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong verbal communication skills -- you can hold a warm, natural, professional conversation with anyone
- Ability to obtain a State of Ohio Property & Casualty insurance license within 60 days of hire (fully sponsored)
- Ability to obtain a State of Ohio Life & Health insurance license within 90 days of hire (fully sponsored)
- Reliable transportation and ability to work full-time, in-office, Monday through Friday
- Previous experience in a role where you built trust with people -- sales, hospitality, coaching, ministry, community organizing, or similar
- Existing Property & Casualty or Life & Health insurance license
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus
- Experience with CRM tools or agency management systems
- Demonstrated history of earning referrals or repeat business through relationship quality
