Position Overview We are seeking a highly analytical Performance Marketing Consultant with a proven track record in driving and optimizing user acquisition metrics. In this role, your expertise will directly connect patients with research studies that drive the development of better treatments. You will design, implement, and refine user acquisition strategies utilizing diverse channels, including paid social, email campaigns, and beyond. Data-driven decision-making and a deep passion for analytics are essential. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and is adept at driving results independently and collaboratively. This is a full-time remote contract position (40 hours/week) for an initial 6–12 month term, with potential for extension based on performance and business needs. While remote work is welcome, preference is given to candidates able to work on-site in the SF Bay Area. Key Responsibilities • Develop and execute user acquisition strategies across multiple channels, such as paid social (Facebook, Reddit, TikTok, etc.) and email marketing. • Analyze campaign performance metrics to identify insights, trends, and optimization opportunities. • Optimize marketing budgets by allocating resources to the highest-performing campaigns. • Own and continuously improve user acquisition metrics. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing campaigns with core business and research objectives. • Design, develop, and test ad creatives and supporting media assets. • Demonstrate empathy for patient communities in all outreach and messaging. • Ensure compliance and effectiveness of ads by working closely with the clinical research team and adhering to IRB requirements. • Research, understand, and respond to the needs and motivations of target audiences, informing both marketing and product strategies. • Clearly communicate results, insights, and strategic recommendations to leadership. Required Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in performance marketing and user acquisition roles. • BS/MS in Marketing, Economics, or a related technical field. • Demonstrated success in owning and improving acquisition metrics. • Expertise with major paid social platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit). • Experience with marketing automation tools and platforms. • Strong quantitative skills and ability to analyze campaign performance data. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Initiative-taker comfortable with creative problem-solving and trying new approaches. Nice-to-Have • Experience marketing to patient communities. • Familiarity with advanced AI marketing tools. • Prior experience in a startup or other rapid-growth environments. • Willingness to work on-site in our SF Bay Area office. Compensation & Benefits • Base salary range: $90,000–$140,000 annualized. • Actual compensation determined by skills, experience, and scope of role; most offers fall within the mid-range.
