The Manager, MV Services, supports the growth and daily operations of QE’s MV Services division under the direction of the Director, MV Services. This role helps expand service offerings and regional coverage while ensuring high‑quality execution of testing and commissioning projects. The Manager works closely with the Director to coordinate active jobs, assist with proposal development, and contribute to new business opportunities. This Manager organizes service work within the MV Services portfolio, supporting the continued development of QE Solar technicians and new employees as they transition into MV Services. The Manager builds relationships with contractors and service partners to support QE’s expanding geographic footprint and evolving service capabilities. Additional responsibilities include day‑to‑day resource allocation and contributing to proposals, bids, and short‑ and long‑term scheduling to ensure efficient project execution. This position also contributes to report generation, documentation, and project reviews. The Manager plays a central role in maintaining operational excellence while supporting the strategic growth of the MV Services division.
EST Time Zone Preferred
Travel Requirements:
Travel regionally and occasionally nationally, to meet field operation’s needs.
The QE MV Services team is located primarily in New England and Mid-Atlantic, and the majority of work performed is local to that region.
Training period expected with field staff to understand member roles and service offerings.
Preferred Experience:
Fundamental understanding of medium voltage equipment and service practices.
Previous field experience preferred.
Essential Duties & Approximate Commitment of Time:
1.Project Coordination & Execution Oversight - 30%
-Coordinate active testing and commissioning projects with the Director, MV Services.
-Monitor project progress, resolve scheduling or resource conflicts, and ensure work quality.
-Support preparation of project documentation, closeout materials, and reviews.
2. Resource Planning & Scheduling - 25%
−Manage day‑to‑day resource allocation across active and upcoming jobs.
−Support short‑ and long‑term scheduling to optimize technician utilization.
−Coordinate with internal teams to align staffing with project timelines
−Keep consistent communication with field staff on project status updates
3. Business Development & Proposal Support - 20%
-Assist with proposal development, bid preparation, and scope review.
-Identify new service opportunities and support expansion into new regions.
-Collaborate with leadership on strategic growth initiatives.
4. Technician Development & Training Support - 10%
-Work with Director, MV Services to oversee training plans for new employees and QE Solar technicians transitioning into MV Services.
-Provide guidance on skill development, safety practices, and technical competencies.
-Attend conferences and relevant trainings as they pertain to QE MV Services offerings
5. Vendor, Contractor & Partner Management - 10%
-Build and maintain relationships with contractors and service partners.
-Evaluate partner capabilities and support onboarding of new service providers.
-Coordinate external support for regional coverage expansion.
6. Reporting, Documentation & Administrative Support - 10%
-Contribute to report generation, project documentation, and internal reviews.
7.Maintain accurate records related to project execution and technician activities. 5%
