About the position
The selected candidate will serve as a Logistics Project Manager (LPM) for the Global Sustainment (GS) organization within the Multi-Domain Combat Systems (MDCS) market segment. They will assist in directing the efforts of a GS team that includes Program Integration (PI), Center of Excellence (COE), and subcontractor personnel for the Norway program and other programs as directed within submarket segment. Responsibilities will include and are not limited to the development of business cases, coordinating the harvesting and re utilization efforts of spare parts, technical manual development and updates, coordinating the implementation of new technology and equipment, and supporting an active Diminishing Manufacturing Sources / Obsolescence management program. The LPM will work closely with other logistics teammates, Program Management Office (PMO), finance, planning, sourcing (subcontracts management), and engineering personnel as part of a cross-functional program team. They will assist in ensuring Sustainment products and services are developed and delivered per contract cost, schedule, and technical requirements. Initial assignments will be in support of current programs with growth assignments to take ownership of larger individual programs. Position may require occasional travel.
Responsibilities
• Responsibility for the cost, schedule and performance of assigned Global Sustainment tasking.
• Primary liaison with external customers and LM program management.
• Providing direction and tasking to GS Center of Excellence (COE) functional leads and subcontractors.
• Ensuring adherence to GS processes and procedures for product development and services.
• Planning, monitoring, and adjusting personnel/manpower planning requirements via VEMO.
• Overseeing the development and delivery of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) and other ILS deliveries and services.
• Providing progress reports to Global Sustainment functional management and program management.
• Preparing and presenting Global Sustainment status for internal and external customer briefings and formal reviews.
• Leading the development of ROM budgetary estimates, formal Basis of Estimates (BOE’s), Statements of Work (SOW), and Executive Planning Panels (EPPs).
Requirements
• Knowledge of ILS product development (e.g. training, technical publications, provisioning, etc.) and implementation within a program environment.
• Knowledge of ILS requirements analysis and definition
• Knowledge of ILS product interdependencies
• Knowledge of ILS-related tools and technologies
• Experience working in a cross-functional organization with Finance, Program Management, Sourcing, etc.
• Ability to work remotely
• This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Nice-to-haves
• Previous experience leading or participating as a Logistics Project Manager, or member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT), or another cross-functional team.
• Previous experience in managing a project (cost, schedule & performance).
• Certified Cost Account Manager (CAM) or equivalent experience in Earned Value Management.
• Experience developing and delivering CDRLs or other customer deliverables.
• A working knowledge of the elements of logistics and how they are applied within an working program.
• Team leadership experience.
• Customer interface experience.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
