Yale University is committed to contributing to a better tomorrow and is seeking an IT Systems Engineer 1 for their HR Innovation and Strategic Support team. This role involves planning, implementing, and supporting technology solutions that enhance HR systems and services, as well as contributing to the design and maintenance of applications and infrastructure. Responsibilities - Develops software solutions to meet customer requirements through team and individual efforts - Participates in the analysis and composition of requirements, design of architectural and component software features, design and implementation of system, design and implementation of test plan, and documentation of final product - May review code, write documentation, following established test procedures Skills - Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as Workday, Salesforce, or similar systems - Exposure to automation tools, integration concepts, or workflow technologies - Familiarity with AI-enabled tools such as chatbots or virtual agents - Familiarity with emerging AI concepts, including large language models (LLMs) and agent-based solutions - Experience working in a collaborative, team-based IT environment - Experience in higher education, HR systems, or related domains - Bachelor's Degree and no experience or equivalent education and experience - Analytical and problem-solving skills - Interpersonal, written, communications and organizational skills - Familiarity with basic systems analysis methods and techniques - Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a field - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience - Exposure to HRIS, HR technology, AI-enabled tools, automation, chatbot development, or related technical work through academic, internship, or professional experience Benefits - Health Requirements Company Overview - Yale University is a research and education institution that prioritizes its students.
