Industrial Electrician - Apprentice

About the position Shermco Systems Integration, a Shermco company, is seeking an I&E Technician. This person can be based anywhere in Texas, but needs to be willing to travel around 90% of the time. Responsibilities • Install, commission, and maintain power, instrumentation, process controls, and SCADA equipment , • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on power, instrumentation, and control systems , • Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting of power and control systems , • Coordinate repair, testing, and installation of power and control systems , • Mechanical and Electrical installations , • Rigid, EMT, PVC coated rigid conduit , • Service, feeders, and branch circuits , • Controls, fiber, and network cabling , • Stainless tubing and instrumentation , • Service equipment, MCC, panelboards Requirements • Master Electrician, Journeyman Electrician, or Apprentice Electrician is a plus but not a requirement , • Field experience in the industrial field with power and control systems , • Understanding of electrical schematics and controls , • Self motivated individual - able to work independently with minimal supervision , • Team oriented, flexible and willing to assist in other technical disciplines , • Hand and power tool capabilities , • Willingness to be hands-on and work in the field alongside our engineers and field technicians , • Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate in English via verbal and written methods Nice-to-haves Benefits Apply Job!
