About the Job Pacific International has been exclusively retained by a leading global specialty chemicals and advanced materials organization that operates a complex international supply chain network supporting multiple business units, manufacturing sites, and global customers. The company manages high‑volume global transportation flows, hazardous materials logistics, customs & trade compliance, and multi-region warehousing operations—requiring exceptional discipline, safety leadership, and strategic execution. As the organization continues to grow its global footprint, expand its international product flows, and integrate acquired entities, it is seeking a high‑performing Global Supply Chain Logistics Manager to lead global transportation, warehousing, logistics compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across its worldwide network. This individual will serve as the company’s corporate logistics subject matter expert, responsible for building best‑in‑class logistics processes, strengthening compliance, optimizing global freight and warehousing costs, and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials—bulk, packaged, and hazardous—across global markets. This is a highly visible, global-impact role offering meaningful ownership, cross-functional influence, and the opportunity to transform logistics performance across a complex, multinational operation. Key Responsibilities Lead Global Logistics Strategy & Execution • Own global logistics performance across transportation, warehousing, and trade compliance. • Develop and execute a robust global logistics strategy aligned to business unit needs and corporate growth objectives. • Build and lead a high-performing global logistics team, supporting capability development and continuous improvement. Drive Compliance & Safety Leadership • Establish and enforce processes to assure compliance with all national and international regulatory requirements (IATA, IMDG, 49 CFR, INCO terms, customs regulations). • Oversee and continuously enhance global trade compliance practices, including free trade agreements, HTS classifications, duty management, and import/export controls. • Champion corporate Health, Safety, and Environmental standards across all logistics operations. • Ensure audit readiness across logistics functions. Optimize Transportation, Warehousing & 3PL Performance • Manage global transportation networks for bulk and packaged chemicals to ensure safety, cost-effectiveness, and service reliability. • Oversee the global network of third-party logistics providers, warehouses, carriers, and freight partners. • Establish rigorous vendor management criteria and performance monitoring. • Maintain authority over global freight, warehousing, and logistics vendor budgets. Lead Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization • Drive logistics cost reduction through procurement optimization, automation, system enhancements, and process improvements. • Implement global logistics KPIs, including: • Total distribution costs (absolute and % of revenue) • On-Time-to-Request performance • 3PL management costs • Logistics complaint rates • Global warehouse operating costs • Support integration efforts for newly acquired companies and global system upgrades. Cross-Functional Partnership & Global Influence • Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, Manufacturing, EHS, IT, and Regional Leadership. • Function as the global corporate subject matter expert on logistics operations, compliance, and system capabilities. • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to logistics personnel across regions. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline (required). • Minimum 5 years of progressive logistics or supply chain management experience. • Experience leading transportation, warehousing, trade compliance, or global logistics operations. • Background managing hazardous materials logistics strongly preferred. • Proven experience negotiating global logistics contracts and managing complex vendor networks. • Experience supporting global operations within a multi-functional, multinational organization. • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks including IATA, IMDG, 49 CFR, and Incoterms 2020. • Working knowledge of global customs practices, duty management, and free trade agreements. • Solid analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to assess complex logistics challenges. • Proficiency with SAP or related ERP systems preferred. • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint). • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. • Demonstrated ability to lead global initiatives and influence without authority.
