We are now seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to architect and execute our funding strategy so we can launch and scale operations with precision.

Position Overview
We require a highly intelligent, analytical, and resourceful Controller with proven experience securing and structuring:
• SBA Loans (7(a), 504, Microloan programs)
• Traditional bank term loans & lines of credit
• Equipment financing
• Business credit card strategy
• Business credit building frameworks
• Federal, state, and private grants
• Alternative lending structures
This role is not clerical. It is strategic. You will design the capital stack that fuels operations.

Core Responsibilities
Capital Acquisition & Structuring
• Research and identify optimal SBA programs for our operational model.
• Prepare and assemble complete SBA and commercial loan packages.
• Structure debt vs. equity positioning strategically.
• Build lender target lists (banks, credit unions, fintech lenders).
• Lead funding conversations with financial institutions.
• Secure equipment financing for trucks and dumpsters.
Grant & Incentive Strategy
• Identify federal, state, and municipal grant programs relevant to logistics, waste management, and small business operations.
• Prepare and submit compliant grant applications.
• Track reporting requirements post-award.
Credit & Financial Infrastructure
• Develop a business credit-building roadmap.
• Secure high-limit business credit cards aligned with operational needs.
• Establish banking relationships that support scaling.
• Ensure financial documentation readiness (P&L, balance sheet, projections).
Financial Governance
• Implement internal financial controls.
• Support budgeting and capital deployment planning.
• Build funding timelines tied to operational launch phases.

Required Qualifications
• 5–7+ years of experience as a Controller, Senior Financial Analyst, or Funding Specialist.
• Demonstrated success securing SBA financing.
• Experience negotiating directly with banks and lenders.
• Deep understanding of underwriting criteria.
• Strong financial modeling and forecasting capability.
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
• Professional, respectful, and articulate demeanor.
• High-level intuition in capital structuring and funding strategy.
