Overview
A medical device company focused on developing innovative cardiovascular technologies is seeking a Field Procedural Specialist to support clinical trial activities for an interventional cardiology device program. This role will work directly with clinical sites and physicians, providing hands-on procedural support in the Cath Lab while ensuring compliance with study protocols and clinical trial requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Support clinical trial sites by providing technical and procedural support during interventional cardiology procedures
• Identify and engage potential study centers to support patient recruitment and enrollment
• Train physicians and medical staff on device use and study protocol requirements
• Ensure proper documentation and completion of case report forms (CRFs) during clinical trials
• Monitor and support site performance, including patient recruitment and protocol adherence
• Track and document device-related issues and communicate with the clinical team
• Coordinate scheduling and deployment of clinical specialists within assigned territories
• Serve as the primary technical contact for clinical sites during procedures
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical science, life sciences, or related field
• 3+ years of Cath Lab experience, preferably in interventional cardiology
• Strong knowledge of interventional cardiac procedures and cardiac imaging
• Experience supporting medical device clinical trials or working within the clinical research environment
• Understanding of GCP and ISO 14155 standards
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams
Preferred
• Clinical trial experience in cardiology or interventional devices
• Industry experience as a Field Clinical Specialist, Clinical Engineer, or Cath Lab Specialist
• RICS certification
• Advanced degree in biomedical or related scientific discipline
