**Job Summary:**
As a Full Stack Data Entry Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting the growth of our ocean product by executing strategies that enhance carrier development, pricing, and service quality. You'll work closely with our Ocean Management team to analyze carrier performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop effective solutions to drive business growth. Your expertise in data analysis, communication, and problem-solving will enable you to make a significant impact on our sales and operations teams.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Execute strategies to support the growth of ocean volumes and enhance the development of the ocean product
* Work closely with the Ocean Management team to analyze carrier performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop effective solutions to drive business growth
* Assist in implementing pricing programs, reviewing volume targets, and developing an ocean strategy that enhances the effectiveness of sales to achieve expectations of account development and yield enhancement
* Communicate both internally and externally to outline strategy, market conditions, and work closely with the Ocean Management team, sales, and operations to communicate direction and deliverables
* Direct and indirect customer contact will be required to provide exceptional customer service and support
* Conduct regular service reviews to ensure agreed-upon KPIs are being met or exceeded
* Assist in gathering, analyzing, and reporting information regarding performance and competitive activity; submit reports as required
* Work with the Ocean Management team and regional ocean management team to promote the ocean product
* Support sales and operations as needed
* Manage annual budget; control, monitor, and report results on a regular basis to achieve budget targets
* Work closely with marketing to develop external and internal communications specific to the ocean product
**Essential Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field (e.g., international business, logistics, supply chain management)
* At least 8 years of experience in the international freight forwarding industry, including direct ocean experience in working with ocean contracts, negotiating ocean rates, quoting ocean rates, and analyzing ocean rates and routing
* Prior ocean carrier experience is a plus
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Business-oriented and remarkable business acumen
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Master's degree or higher in a related field
* Experience working with ocean carriers, freight forwarders, or logistics companies
* Knowledge of ocean shipping regulations, tariffs, and customs procedures
* Familiarity with data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI)
* Experience with marketing and sales support
