**Key Responsibilities**
As a Data Entry Specialist, you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
* Entering accurate and complete data into computer programs, ensuring compliance with established procedures and protocols
* Producing and maintaining data reports, identifying inconsistencies or issues, and alerting management to potential problems
* Performing database queries to support analysis and reporting, and providing recommendations for process improvements
* Verifying data entries for accuracy and completeness, and undertaking special projects as assigned by management
* Assisting in the creation and closure of medical case files, including data entry and records management
* Providing support with decision notification, including mailing and faxing decision letters to parties involved
* Accurately updating the Medicare Appeal system (MAS) and other databases
* Demonstrating and maintaining appropriate judgment with confidential information
* Determining if work assignments require supervisor intervention
* Performing other duties as assigned by management
**Minimum Requirements**
To be considered for this role, you'll need to meet the following minimum requirements:
* High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
* 0-2 years of relevant experience in data entry or a related field
* Prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite is preferred
* Prior experience with Medicare Appeals and Systems is preferred
* Must be a US Citizen or have lived in the US for the last 5 years, working continuously for 3 years
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset:
* Experience working in a remote or home office environment
* Familiarity with data management software and systems
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
**Home Office Requirements**
As a remote worker, you'll need to meet the following home office requirements:
* Internet speed of 20mbps or higher (50 Mpbs for shared internet connectivity)
* Minimum 5mbps upload speed
* Connectivity to the internet via Wi-Fi or Category 5 or 6 ethernet patch cable to the home router
* Private work area and adequate power source
* Must currently and permanently reside in the Continental US
**Compensation and Benefits**
