Our organization is built on understanding, recognizing, and responding to those affected by trauma, strengthening resilience for our clients, staff, and community. **Job Summary** As a 988 Chat/Text Crisis Specialist PRN, 1st Shift, you will be part of our 24/7/365 mental health crisis/suicide prevention focused team. You will handle incoming chat/text messages through the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NSPL), also known as 988, providing brief clinical screenings, risk assessments, and appropriate service linkage for individuals experiencing emotional distress. This role requires strong communication skills, empathy, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care. **Key Responsibilities** * Provides telephonic or chat clinical screenings and risk assessments * Answers crisis contacts via the chat/text platform to assess for suicide, safety, and identify appropriate community resources to meet individual needs * Conducts follow-up calls for individuals deemed moderate to high risk for suicide * Meets the ethical and clinical standards in compliance with all accreditation * Actively participates in ongoing supervision, training, and team meetings * Assists in administrative tasks as needed **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** * Effectively communicates via written, verbal, in-person, and virtual methods * Demonstrates high-level customer service skills and professional etiquette * Demonstrates knowledge and competency in providing service linkage and referrals for programs, services, and other community resources * Knowledge of suicide assessments * Skill in providing crisis intervention **Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Social Work, or related field or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist * Six months to one year of related crisis experience is preferred * N/A for required certification/licensure **Physical Requirements** * Standing: 10% * Sitting: 90% * Squatting: Occasional * Kneeling: Occasional * Bending: Occasional * Driving: Occasional * Lifting: Occasional **Benefits** * Competitive salary * Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts * 403b retirement plan with company match * Paid time off and ten paid holidays * AD&D Insurance, Life Insurance, and Long Term Disability (company paid) * Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion employee resource groups * Continuing education opportunities * Employee Assistance Program **Work Environment and Culture** arenaflex is committed to creating a workplace that reflects the growing world around us, where everyone feels empowered, safe, and welcomed.
