Position Title:            Director, ClaimsPay Settlement Operations Department:              Payments Reports To:                SR Director Settlement Operations Overview:        The Director of ClaimsPay Settlement Operations plays a critical role in managing the reconciliation of payment processing funds across clients, processors, and sponsor banks within One Inc's outbound payments portfolio. This position involves planning, directing, and supervising the daily operations of the ClaimsPay payment processing team, while collaborating with payment providers, financial institutions, and internal departments to resolve settlement and processing issues. Additionally, the Director prepares analytical reports to support Sales, Payments, and Finance teams and reviews contracts to ensure operational and financial alignment. A key responsibility of this role is maintaining the consistent balance and reconciliation of all funding accounts owned by One Inc, ensuring smooth financial operations and accurate reporting. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and mentor the settlement team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. - Oversee the settlement of high-volume payment transactions across multiple channels and platforms, ensuring accuracy and efficiency, including: ACH transactions, ClaimsCard, Push to Debit, PayPal/Venmo, PropertyPay, checks and any other payment method introduced. - Ensure proper reconciliation of accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly. - Implement robust controls to mitigate financial, operational, and reputational risks associated with settlement processes. - Stay updated on payment industry regulations and ensure settlement operations comply with all applicable laws and standards. - Collaborate with IT and operations teams to leverage technology for automation and process improvements in settlement workflows. - Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including banks, payment processors, and regulators, to ensure seamless operations. - Develop and present regular settlement and reconciliation reports to senior management, providing insights on key metrics and performance trends. - Prepare and deliver detailed monthly reports to support efficient month-end closing activities. - Develop and uphold the processes and procedures for payment recording, processing, and internal auditing. - Monitor KPI accuracy for the ClaimsPay payment team. - Ensure compliance with SOX and financial audit standards for all transactions. - Work with other managers to create and maintain a productive workplace culture and team-building activities that focus on quality, growth, employee retention, development, and performance. Skills & Abilities: - Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities. - Proficiency in settlement and reconciliation software/tools is a plus. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications is required. - Expert level Excel skills are highly desired. - Ability to effectively train and supervise a team. - Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to be flexible and to function efficiently when urgent situations arise. - Excellent attention to detail, strong investigative skills and exceptional analytical skills. - Ability to communicate professionally and provide excellent customer service with our customers. - Excellent time management skills. - Ability to maintain strong organization skills with high volumes of projects. Ability to efficiently multi-task and prioritize.
