The Director of Sales – Commercial National Accounts is responsible for strategically driving targeted revenue growth, developing, and executing sales strategies, and building strong relationships with key partners in the National Account segment. In this newly created leadership position, you will have a unique opportunity to build, shape and impact people and business strategy selling Rheem’s comprehensive commercial AC and Water Heating solutions in the national account segment. You will provide overarching go-to market and sales strategy support to the VP Commercial Air & Water and deeply engage with sales leadership in other Rheem commercial segments to fully leverage other channels as needed.
This role requires an innovative thinker with a proven track record in sales leadership, particularly in HVAC and Water Heating industry and specifically selling in the National Accounts segment.
This position will serve Rheem North America Commercial Business based in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate is located within proximity to major metro market. This role will report to the VP Commercial Air & Water.
Travel is estimated at 50%, primarily domestic and including driving, heavier during initial onboarding to build key relationships.
Responsibilities
- Drive top-line performance through innovative go-to-market strategies, customer segmentation, and channel optimization. Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to drive profitable growth while achieving revenue and market share targets.
- Lead brand positioning and integrated marketing efforts to enhance market presence, customer engagement, and competitive differentiation.
- Maximize opportunity with strategic accounts while carefully balancing distribution and channel conflict.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and innovation in an increasingly complex and dynamic market environment.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and best in class relationship development practices.
- Partner with product management, engineering, operations, Finance, and other sales leaders to ensure alignment and successful execution of commercial national accounts initiatives.
- Drive commercial progress that increases market share, strengthens customer loyalty, and elevates the Rheem brand across key segments.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in product sales and/or business development
- Understanding of direct and two-step distribution sales cycle
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse sales team.
- Strong financial and analytical skills as well as problem solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Prior experience managing several direct reports
- Demonstrated ability to understand, analyze and articulate business processes, improvement opportunities and applications in a holistic manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a team environment and a matrix organization.
- Knowledge of product-specific industry, operations, and customers a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s in Business Administration
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth specifically in the National Account segment.
- Proficiency in sales management software and CRM tools.
- Experience in developing and managing sales budgets and financial objectives.
- HVAC and/or Water heating industry experience or the technical aptitude to gain expertise in product solutions and applications.

The pay scale for this position $154,900 - $284,148. Please note all pay ranges are broadly stated and any final offer is dependent on factors such as location, direct experience, market guidance and internal equity, among other qualifying criteria.
