Key Responsibilities • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive cybersecurity compliance programs, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational goals and external regulations. • Conduct regular internal audits, assessments, and vulnerability scans to ensure continuous adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., PIPEDA, GDPR), industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST), and internal security policies. • Monitor changes in cybersecurity laws, regulations, and industry best practices, proactively updating company policies and controls to maintain full compliance. • Provide expert guidance and support to various business units on compliance-related matters, risk mitigation strategies, and security best practices. • Oversee and manage the risk assessment process, identifying potential compliance gaps, evaluating their impact, and developing effective remediation strategies. • Prepare and submit accurate and timely compliance reports to senior management, regulatory bodies, and external auditors as required. • Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, IT, privacy, and other departments to ensure consistent application of security controls and compliance requirements across all business operations. • Develop and deliver engaging cybersecurity awareness training programs for employees at all levels to foster a strong security culture. • Participate in incident response activities, ensuring that all compliance aspects are thoroughly addressed during and after security incidents. • Manage third-party vendor security assessments, ensuring that partners and suppliers comply with TELUS's stringent security and data protection standards.
