To connect with us, visit www.usatodayco.com The Business Development & Procurement (“BD&P”) Manager supports enterprise-wide business development initiatives and leads key components of the vendor coordination process for USA TODAY Media Corp. This role drives vendor management operations, contract workflows, and cross‑departmental alignment while ensuring that all active vendor negotiations are tracked, reviewed, and advanced through a consistent and compliant process. Key Responsibilities Maintain and continuously update a master list of all active vendor negotiations, including vendor needs, anticipated cost, target dates, department owners, legal/finance partners, cross‑functional stakeholders, status, and notes. Ensure early cross‑departmental visibility and buy‑in for all new vendor engagements. Coordinate the deal intake process, including reviewing incoming submissions and supporting clarification discussions with business leaders. Work with BD&P leadership to determine whether submissions require full BD&P support or should follow more of a self‑service path. Provide guidance, templates, timing expectations, and support documentation for deals proceeding through the self‑service track. Check in regularly with business owners to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure consistency with required processes. Develop, support and update the master list as each deal moves through stages, ensuring accuracy and alignment. Generate regular reports, summaries, and updates based on the master list. Help run or support the Pipeline Review Committee, ensuring agendas, updates, and status reports are prepared and documented. Partner with business leaders, Legal, Finance, IT, and BD&P team members to ensure all necessary cross‑departmental input is received. Assist with onboarding for newly signed vendors, including system setup and smooth transitions into implementation teams. Ensure that completed deals are accurately captured in Salesforce and added to the active deals database. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or related field. 5–7 years of experience in business development, procurement, or partner management. Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to present complex information clearly. Solid understanding of contracts and procurement workflows. Ability to manage confidential information and work independently. Project‑oriented mindset with experience managing timelines across multiple stakeholders. Familiarity with digital media, technology vendors, and AI tools is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce CRM, AdobeSign, and collaboration tools. #LI-REMOTE #LI-NR2 The annualized base salary for this role will range between $115,000 and $135,000.  Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications and experience.
