Customer is requesting a BizTalk Server 2020 Administrator
Responsibilities
• 1. Platform Administration
o Manage BizTalk Server environments (Development, QA, Production).
o Maintain and configure BizTalk Groups, Hosts, and Host Instances.
o Manage BizTalk Applications, Receive/Send Ports, and Orchestrations.
o Administer Enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO) service and related credentials.
2. Integration Management
o Ensure connectivity and message flow between integrated systems (e.g.,
Netsuite, Stonebranch, SQL, Azure Services).
o Monitor adapters (MQSeries, WCF, FILE, FTP, SFTP, HTTP, SQL, etc.).
o Manage and troubleshoot suspended messages and failed orchestrations.
3. Operational Monitoring
o Use BizTalk360, SQL Agent Jobs, Windows Event Viewer, and PerfMon for
monitoring.
o Maintain uptime, reliability, and data consistency across integrations.
o Respond to alerts and incidents in accordance with SLAs.
4. Deployment & Configuration Management
o Deploy MSI packages and binding files across environments.
o Validate build and deployment scripts (PowerShell, BTDF, etc.).
o Manage configuration changes (ports, pipelines, maps, schemas).
5. Database Administration (Basic Level)
o Monitor SQL Server jobs, logs, and growth of BizTalk databases.
o Purge/Archive tracking data to maintain performance.
o Collaborate with SQL DBAs for backup and disaster recovery validation.
6. Security & Compliance
o Manage service accounts, certificates, and access permissions.
o Perform security audits, password rotation, and encryption key backup.
o Ensure compliance with corporate and audit standards.
7. Performance Optimization
o Tune throttling settings, host configurations, and message tracking.
o Optimize MessageBox and DTA performance through regular maintenance.
8. Disaster Recovery & High Availability
o Maintain backup and recovery procedures.
o Test failover between BizTalk clusters and SQL Availability Groups.
9. Documentation & Knowledge Management
o Maintain detailed runbooks, configuration documentation, and SOPs.
o Record all changes and incidents with RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
