Appraiser-Commercial
The Appraiser - Commercial is responsible for appraisal assignment engagement, process management and appraisal administration, and review of appraisals required across the organization. Working under limited supervision, this job understands the scope of a particular assignment, ensures compliance with appraisal policies and procedures, reviews appraisal reports in detail, and reports value conclusions to team members and/or internal clients.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
• Conducts appraisal services in a regulatory compliant, cost effective, and timely manner.
• Reviews appraisal service schedules for completeness with internal valuation policies and procedures, and fund agreements.
• Contributes to maintaining and managing a panel of qualified third-party appraisers.
• Solicits and collects bids for appraisal services from qualified approved fee appraisers.
• Engages fee appraisers to perform appraisal services as needed.
• Performs reviews of third-party and internal appraisal reports under the direction of senior members of the appraisal team.
• Assists in the development and updating of processes and procedures that incorporate the required level of controls, while delivering well supported valuations as required for specific accounts/funds.
• Coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals.
Educational Requirements
• University (Degree) Preferred
