The Analyst II will perform complex technical analytical assignments related to grant management and program support, potentially serving as a team leader or project coordinator. Responsibilities - Perform the more responsible, varied, and complex technical analytical staff services assignments related to grant management and program support work - Serve as the lead person, team leader, and/or project coordinator for grant projects and program support Skills - A Statement of Qualifications or Supplemental Questionnaire must be submitted along with your application to be considered for this position - Applications submitted without an SOQ may be disqualified for this position - All applicants must provide a separate document title Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) - Your SOQ will be considered the first interview for this position and demonstrate your ability to communicate your experience clearly and succinctly - The SOQ should outline specific and relevant experience, education, and training which qualifies you to perform the duties outlined in the duty statement - Include information stating how, where, and the dates the experience was acquired - The SOQ should also specifically outline how you possess any or all of the desirable qualifications outlined below - The SOQ should be no longer than two pages, singled-spaced, in no less than Arial 11-point font, and your name clearly noted at the top of both pages of your SOQ - You are required to complete employment history on the application form (STD 678) - You may be disqualified from the hiring and selection process if the employment history is not complete - If you are meeting minimum qualifications with education, you must include your unofficial transcripts for verification - If selected, you may be required to provide official transcripts at the time of hire - Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview, but they must provide proof of residence in California prior to being eligible for appointment - Completed applications and all required documents must be received or postmarked by the Final Filing Date in order to be considered - Applications will be screened and only the most qualified applicants will be selected to move forward in the selection process - Applicants must meet the Minimum Qualifications stated in the Classification Specification(s) Company Overview - California Department of Social Services funds several programs that assist underprivileged and vulnerable children and adults.
