Overview: I'm a product agency looking to bring on an experienced AI automation developer (or small team) to build a production-ready order intake automation system for one of our wholesale manufacturing clients.The system needs to monitor multiple Gmail inboxes, use Claude AI to extract structured order data from emails in any format (free text, PDF, Excel attachments, handwritten photos), validate orders against business rules, and route approved orders into an ERP system — all surfaced through a custom admin dashboard.This is a well-scoped project with full requirements documentation ready to share. I'll be acting as the product lead — you handle the build.
What needs to be built:
n8n workflow: Gmail trigger → AI classification → Claude API extraction → file parsing → business rule validation → admin queue → ERP handoff
Claude API integration with prompt engineering to extract 12+ structured fields from unstructured email content in any format including OCR'd images
Business rules engine: configurable minimum quantity rules per product category, screen print run minimums, catalog price validation
Admin dashboard (browser-based): tabbed order queue, AI confidence scoring per order, flag management, original email preview, one-click approval flow
AI confidence scoring: High / Medium / Low rating with per-category breakdown (customer data, order header, line items)
AI learning loop: admin corrections logged to improve extraction accuracy over time

Required experience:
n8n (self-hosted or cloud) — must have shipped production workflows
Anthropic Claude API / prompt engineering for structured data extraction
Gmail API / Google OAuth
JavaScript or Node.js
Building admin UIs (vanilla JS, React, or similar — nothing fancy needed)
ERP integrations a plus (Sage 100 specifically is ideal but not required)
Project details:
Type: Fixed price preferred, open to milestone-based
Timeline: Looking for delivery within 3–4 weeks
