The department offers undergraduate degrees in Applied Psychology and Population Health Management, Graduate degrees in Applied Behavior Analysis and Marriage and Family Therapy, minors in Arts, Literature and Philosophy, Medical Sociology, and Psychology, and a diverse collection of courses in support of Oregon Tech's general education mission. Additional departmental information may be found at: https://www.oit.edu/academics/health-arts-sciences/humanities-social-sciences Position Summary Oregon Tech is accepting applications for Public Health and Population Health undergraduate Adjunct Instructors for the Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) Department. The Humanities and Social Sciences Department is recruiting a pool of adjunct instructors for possible part-time teaching positions for the minor in Medical Sociology and undergraduate degree in Population Health Management. Specifically, the department seeks adjunct instructors to teach Medical Sociology, Introduction to Population Health Management, Global Population Health, Rural Health, Current Health Issues, Community Program Planning, among others. Teaching Modality: Appointments may include courses offered on-line, in person on campus, hybrid, or related clinic or lab, or in an alternative format responsive to state and local requirements. Location: primary campus locations include the Klamath Falls campus, the Portland-Metro campus (located in Wilsonville, OR), and online. Teaching may be conducted remotely/online, within the United States. Your credentials will remain active as long as the pool position is available but no more than two years. Minimum Requirements Additional Requirements • Master's Degree or higher in Public Health, Healthcare Leadership, Sociology or other related fields. • Experience teaching at the college level. • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis at the time of hire; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or other employment-based immigration support. Preferred Qualifications • Experience using Canvas or a similar Learning Management System (e.g., Blackboard). • Experience using virtual meeting and collaboration tools for teaching, such as Zoom, Skype, and Microsoft Teams.
