Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Legal & Public Policy to lead our legal affairs and shape our public policy initiatives. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to influence organizational strategy, ensure compliance, and advocate for policies that support our mission. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of legal frameworks, public policy development, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments. As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will drive initiatives that align with our organizational goals while safeguarding our interests across multiple jurisdictions. Responsibilities • Develop and execute comprehensive legal strategies that support organizational growth and risk management. • Lead the formulation, advocacy, and implementation of public policy initiatives at local, national, and international levels. • Oversee all legal matters including contracts, compliance, intellectual property, litigation, and regulatory affairs. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret legislation and develop policies that promote organizational objectives. • Manage relationships with external legal counsel, government agencies, industry groups, and advocacy organizations. • Monitor evolving legal and policy landscapes to proactively address potential impacts on the organization. • Provide expert guidance on issues related to data collection, research ethics, clinical trials, and public health regulations. • Ensure adherence to data analysis standards using statistical software such as R, SAS, SPSS, Stata, Python, SQL, or GIS tools when relevant to policy research or compliance reporting. Experience • Extensive experience in legal leadership roles within organizations engaged in public policy or healthcare sectors. • Proven track record in developing and influencing public policy at various governmental levels. • Strong understanding of clinical research processes, including clinical trials and research ethics. • Demonstrated expertise in data analysis skills utilizing statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS) and data collection methodologies for research purposes. • Familiarity with quantitative research methods such as GIS mapping or statistical modeling alongside qualitative research techniques. • Knowledge of public health regulations and experience navigating complex legal environments related to clinical research or healthcare delivery. • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex legal and policy issues clearly to diverse audiences.
