Description: We are seeking a Virtual Teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in New York. This role involves delivering specialized instruction tailored to individual needs in an online environment.
Responsibilities:
? Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that are tailored to the needs of deaf and hard of hearing students.
? Utilize adaptive and assistive technologies to enhance learning and accessibility for students in a virtual setting.
? Conduct virtual classroom sessions, providing direct instruction, support, and feedback to students.
? Monitor and assess student progress through online assessments and assignments, providing timely feedback and grades.
? Collaborate with other educators, parents, and specialists to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
? Address any challenges or barriers to learning that students may encounter in the virtual environment.
? Organize and facilitate virtual parent-teacher conferences and meetings to discuss student progress and goals.
Requirements:
? NY State Teaching Certification for Deaf Education.
? Master?s degree in Deaf Education or a related field.
? Minimum 2 years of experience teaching deaf and hard of hearing students in a school setting.
? Proficiency in remote teaching tools and technologies.
