Vice President of Finance Operations, 2 Hour Learning (Remote) - $200,000/year USD

This is not traditional FP&A. It is financial operations designed for builders. 2 Hour Learning is creating a school network that functions in a fundamentally different way. We operate with speed, make decisions every day, and require financial visibility that matches our pace. You will not be reviewing outdated budgets or depending on BI departments. You will construct the models, dashboards, and controls that provide operators and leadership with the clarity required to make confident decisions—on a daily basis. Your contributions fuel everything from new school openings to strategic shifts, and they must be rapid, precise, and reliable. You will be responsible for a live, AI-enhanced finance infrastructure. This includes integrated P&L models for every school and business vertical. Rolling forecasts spanning 12–18 months that remain current within 72 hours. Dashboards that highlight the two or three critical drivers that truly matter. You will leverage AI tools such as ChatGPT and Copilot to speed up your analysis and remove operational friction. You are not creating systems from the ground up—you are applying existing tools to complete work more efficiently. This role is not suited for operations managers who thrive in structured hierarchies. It is for finance professionals who are dissatisfied with bureaucracy and sluggish workflows. You apply AI tools to increase velocity and expect your models to inform execution rather than simply documenting past events. You will not be standing by awaiting approval. You will be integral to how we advance. What You Will Be Doing • Construct and maintain dynamic 3-statement financial models for every school and vertical, integrating enrollment, staffing, and CapEx into unified forecasts. • Refresh rolling 12–18 month forecasts on a weekly basis using current data and perform scenario testing for upside and downside risks. • Produce executive dashboards powered by live data that emphasize key drivers and support daily, confident decision-making. • Deploy AI tools to expedite analysis, identify anomalies, monitor variances, and remove spreadsheet friction across finance operations. • Compose clear, concise memos that outline financial risk, strategic alternatives, and budget considerations at a board-ready standard, delivered within 72 hours. What You Won’t Be Doing • Managing drawn-out budget cycles or generating reports that go unread — your forecasts adapt with the business in real time, and your output influences decisions within days. • Enforcing cost center compliance or tracking down receipts — you will concentrate on clarity and control, not red tape. • Depending on BI teams — you create the tools, dashboards, and models directly. • Getting lost in noise — your role is to extract the few insights that shift the trajectory. • Developing automated systems from the ground up — you will apply AI tools to accelerate output, not construct infrastructure. Vice President Of Finance Operations Key Responsibilities Provide continuously updated financial models, forecasts, and dashboards that enable daily decisions and strategic clarity across a fast-growing network of schools. Basic Requirements • Willing to work at least 3 hours of daily overlap with US business hours (08:00 - 17:00 US EST / UTC-5) • 5+ years in investment banking, private equity, Big 4 corp finance/M&A (not audit), or high-growth FP&A • Proven experience building integrated 3-statement models tied to U.S. GAAP • Comfortable delivering investor-grade analysis and recommendations under tight deadlines • Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude) to accelerate financial analysis, document generation, and data processing Nice-to-have Requirements • CPA/CFA/MBA certification • ERP experience in NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP • Familiarity with multi-site education, facilities, or ops-heavy industries • Experience with board-level reporting or investor-facing materials • Experience building AI-automated dashboards or low-code finance tools • Exposure to high-end service environments with exacting financial standards About 2 Hour Learning Education is broken, but 2 Hour Learning is proving it doesn’t have to be. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
