The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Medical Grants Specialist for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Cambridge, MA. Details for the position are as follows: Job Title: Medical Grants and Sponsorship Specialist (Contract-to-Hire) Location: Hybrid (2 days/week on-site) Job Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire Pay Rate: $40.00-$41.38/hourPosition Overview The Medical Grants and Sponsorship Specialist provides operational support for the review, coordination, and administration of educational grants and sponsorship programs. This role is responsible for managing grant submissions, coordinating communications with applicants and internal stakeholders, tracking agreements and payments, and supporting reporting and operational analysis. This position also contributes to the development of medical education and external sponsorship strategies in close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, including Medical Directors, External Engagement, and Ethics & Compliance teams.Key Responsibilities • Support the intake, triage, and review of educational grant and sponsorship proposals, ensuring submissions are accurate, complete, and aligned with internal guidelines • Manage communications with applicants and respond to inquiries in a timely manner • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support the grant review and approval process • Assist in developing and managing annual educational budgets across therapeutic areas • Partner with Medical Directors, Legal, and Ethics & Compliance to establish or refine grant focus areas • Participate as a voting member in the review and approval of grants, sponsorships, and memberships • Lead development and execution of Calls for Grant Applications (CGAs), including cross-functional coordination and approval processes • Oversee day-to-day operations for grants and sponsorships, including tracking, reconciliation, reporting, and closeout • Analyze grant outcomes and evaluation reports to identify insights, trends, and educational gaps • Support audit activities and ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards • Generate reports and provide analysis on funded programs • Develop training materials and internal communications to support program awareness and compliance • Recommend and implement process improvements as needed Qualifications Required: • Bachelor's degree in a health science or related field • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in: • Medical Affairs • Medical education • Educational grants or sponsorship programs • Pharmaceutical or biotech industry functions • Experience with corporate giving, educational grants, or sponsorship management • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance guidelines related to medical education and pharmaceutical industry standards • Strong organizational and project management skills • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams Preferred: • Experience managing budgets and financial tracking • Familiarity with grant management systems and reporting tools Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate brings pharmaceutical industry experience with a focus on grants and sponsorships, along with strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to manage complex processes across multiple stakeholders.Why Join Us? • Opportunity to transition into a full-time role after 6 months • Work in a collaborative, cross-functional Medical Affairs environment • Gain exposure to strategic medical education initiatives and industry best practices • Hybrid flexibility with a balance of remote and on-site work By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, AI-generated calls, text messages, or emails from and its affiliates, and contracted partners.
