Duties Include: Data Entry, Computer work, professional communication via email/phone. Days/Hours: 11PM - 7AM (Eastern Time) - (Wednesday - Sunday) Location: Must Reside within the United States Scope of Position: The Customs Brokerage Representative has various key responsibilities involved with the shipping and crossing of international borders that require certain documentation to meet the requirements of US Customs and additional Partner Government Agencies. The ideal candidate will ensure all shipments are cleared for transport and all legal obligations and documentation requirements are adhered to, and that the shipments are processed timely & accurately, while satisfying customer expectations. Core Competencies · Customer Focus · Professional Communication Skills · Energy & Stress Management · Analytical Thinking · Team Work · Adaptability · Problem Solving · Accountability and Dependability · Ethics and Integrity Major Duties and Responsibilities: • Release, classify, and bill basic import shipments • Prepare bonds for U.S. Customs for inspection and release of imports • Assure accurate and timely billings and resolve accounting issues • Must understand how their job functions impact on other units • Stays up-to-date on Customs and procedure changes. • May be assigned additional tasks Experience and Education: • High School Diploma or equivalent. • 2+ years of Brokerage/office experience required. • Accurate data entry skills. • Excellent communications skills. • Previous experience with MS Word and EXCEL, Windows, Email and various PC-based software programs a plus.
