About the position The System Design and Integration Specialist at Boeing will play a crucial role in supporting the Integrated Product Data Management (IPDM) team by managing and sustaining application and IT infrastructure environments for the Siemens Teamcenter suite of applications. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation and support of delivery systems products, contributing to Boeing's defense programs. Responsibilities Performs product and component management to ensure technical viability and cost-effectiveness from evaluation through implementation and support to retirement. , Uses technical expertise to assist business partners by answering technical questions regarding the usage, troubleshooting, and functionality of delivery systems products. , Applies knowledge of computing systems to choose appropriate troubleshooting techniques to resolve complex, escalated delivery systems problems. , Works with appropriate product suppliers for enhancements and issues not resolved in-house. , Chooses appropriate computing products and methods to ensure requirements are met for security, problem management, capacity/performance management, and operational management. , Documents resolutions/analyses according to support procedures. , Identifies, evaluates, and documents computing system requirements. , Evaluates product usability, affordability, functionality, security, and performance to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments. , Assists in the design, build, and test of delivery systems and components. , Deploys software components into application environments, including installation, upgrades, and migrations. , Demonstrates initiative for learning and adaptability to complex situations. , Ensures all process and system solutions meet company security policies. Requirements Bachelor's degree or higher. , 3+ years of experience integrating complex applications on Windows and Linux platforms. , 3+ years of experience supporting desktop, server, storage, or network hardware and software components. , 3+ years of experience supporting cross-functional teams. Nice-to-haves 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. , Active Secret clearance or higher. , Experience in Teamcenter or other product data management systems. , Experience administering and troubleshooting Java application servers (Weblogic, Websphere, Jboss, etc.). , Experience with application development and agile software processes. , Experience with server and/or database administration. , Experience with cloud application migration. , Experience with AWS services/tools. , Experience using Ansible, GIT, and Jenkins. , Experience with Azure Dev Ops (ADO) and Agile methodologies. , Experience with cloud-hosted applications. , Experience building and sustaining application and infrastructure environments for Siemens Teamcenter suite of applications.
