• As a Systems Administrator at CompassX Consulting LLC, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and integration of our clients' critical IT platforms. This 3-month contract position is designed for a technically adept and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic consulting environment. You will be instrumental in managing and optimizing the technical infrastructure that underpins our clients' strategic initiatives, acting as the crucial link between ServiceNow and Jira.
• Your primary responsibility will be to serve as the technical engine driving our clients' integrated delivery platforms. This involves a deep understanding of how these systems interact and a proactive approach to maintaining their integrity and efficiency. You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of these platforms, ensuring that data flows accurately and efficiently between them.
• A key aspect of this role is facilitating seamless defect tracking and data flow between ServiceNow and Jira. This requires a thorough understanding of both platforms' capabilities and limitations, as well as the ability to configure integrations, workflows, and automation rules to meet specific client needs. You will be tasked with identifying and resolving any issues that arise in the data synchronization process, ensuring that information is up-to-date and accessible to all relevant stakeholders.
• You will work closely with client IT teams and CompassX project managers to understand their unique requirements and translate them into technical solutions. This involves gathering detailed information about their current systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes that enhance performance and user experience.

• You will be involved in the configuration and maintenance of integrations between ServiceNow and Jira, potentially including REST APIs, webhooks, or other integration methods. This may involve scripting or light development work to customize integration points.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to system performance, user access, data integrity, and integration failures will be a core part of your daily activities. You will need to be adept at diagnosing problems, documenting solutions, and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements
• Proven experience in systems administration or a related IT support role.

• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud environments.
