Jamaica Hospital Medical Center a member of the Medisys Health Network is a 404 bed fully accredited community-based teaching hospital and Level I Trauma and Stroke Center. We provide general medical, pediatric, and psychiatric emergency services, ambulatory care on and off-campus, ambulatory surgery, and a broad spectrum of diagnostic and treatment services. We are currently seeking experienced licensed Security Officers for full-time day, evening, and night, shift opportunities. Under the direction of the Security Director, selected Security Officers will perform a variety of security and safety-related functions while involved in the safeguard of employees, patients, visitors, and property as outlined in the JHMC policy manual. RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Responsible for maintaining a safe environment for hospital patients, staff, and visitors ? Actively monitoring and surveilling persons entering hospital facilities and controlling access to sensitive areas. ? Assisting management in enforcing safety regulations. ? Maintaining visit front desk sign-in roster. ? Documenting and maintaining incident log reports ? Utilizing verbal techniques to deescalate crisis situations. ?
