Stored Energy Systems (SENS) is an award-winning manufacturer of premium quality power conversion products located in Longmont, CO. They are seeking a Sales Engineer I to work with their channel and enterprise sales teams to position SENS’ line of power products and systems to solve customer challenges.
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of SENS’ products/systems including several case studies
- Participate in Customer Discovery calls
- Specify the best solution to solve customer problems
- Collaborate with engineers and product development teams to create customized or highly configured solutions that meet client specifications
- Participate in design reviews and ensure that proposed solutions align with client requirements and company capabilities
- Conduct product demonstrations, webinars, and training sessions to educate customers and foster long-term partnerships
- Assist Sales teams in presenting solutions and answering technical questions
- Act as a lifecycle resource to key accounts and behave as ‘an extension’ of their team, with an eye always open to how future SENS’ solutions can be impactfully positioned
- Act as liaison between SENS Sales team and Product Engineering team to ensure alignment and that engineered solutions are properly understood and presented by the sales teams
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive products, and customer feedback to inform product development and sales strategies
- Collaborate as needed with the Marketing team to provide expert guidance related to technical positioning statements and other content intended for use in digital marketing programs
- Help create future case studies based on personal wins/experiences at SENS
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field
- Familiarity with internal combustion engines, energy storage systems, and/or industrial electrical equipment
- Familiarity with commercial product sales processes
- Basic understanding of typical business and technical challenges
- Strong ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, trade shows, and conferences (15-40%)
- Experience with mission-critical energy storage systems, power conversion technologies, low voltage AC and DC power distribution, and batteries
