As a Director, Consumer Insights & Data Analytics, you'll play a critical role in shaping our data-driven strategy and leading a high-performing team to deliver actionable insights that inform business decisions. Position Overview: The Director, Consumer Insights & Data Analytics will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive data strategy that drives business growth, improves customer experience, and informs marketing activities. You'll lead a team of analysts to deliver insights that inform business decisions, develop and maintain data foundations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data-driven decision making. Key Responsibilities: Business and Consumer Insights: Lead path to purchase research across categories to identify opportunities for growth and improvement Develop insights on shifting customer perception and its impact on shopping behaviors Identify growth opportunities by analyzing user behavior, navigation patterns, page performance, and conversion funnels Understand and define key factors in ecommerce and showroom experience for Brilliant Earth Develop tools to understand and track brand strength, including awareness, familiarity, and consideration over time Consumer Segmentation and CRM: Develop consumer cohort and purchase behavior analyses across purchase channels to better understand and drive repurchase and lifetime value Provide customer insights for brand, performance marketing, and CRM teams to inform marketing strategies and tactics Develop a reporting framework to continuously measure repurchase and lifetime value Play a key role in developing and data foundation required to support a Brilliant Earth loyalty program Marketing Data & Analytics: Provide analytics and insights to stakeholders within ecommerce and brand teams focused on both upper and lower funnel marketing activities Lead marketing campaign analysis across all channels, including CRM, Social, Organic, and Performance, and build processes to enable comparison of campaigns over time Develop full funnel attribution frameworks with consideration for transactions and activities that lead to transactions Business Tools and Monitoring: Create self-service analytics reporting structures to enable data-driven decision making to scale efficiently across the organization Develop reliable forecasting processes for key activities and business processes across the organization as a foundation for business health monitoring Develop monitoring tools and capabilities to ensure business foundations and processes are functioning as expected and automatically alert business teams if outlier conditions exist Data Foundations: Lead and educate the organization on digital analytics, drive data and analytics best practices Ensure data source and tagging stability, focused on repeatable insights that can be trusted by business owners and teams Ensure projects and platform changes across the organization consider analytics, and new capabilities are building upon the data foundation Provide leadership in driving the organization's data strategy and data foundations to ensure the organization is using data effectively and scaling sufficiently to support the business Requirements: 10+ years of relevant Consumer Insights and Digital Analytics leadership experience Robust understanding of data and analytics technology, including experience leading strategy and implementation for platforms and tools such as GA4, Domo, Snowflake Demonstrated experience providing insights relating to digital marketing channels and activities (Paid Search, SEO, Affiliates, Display, Paid Social) Experience leading and driving consumer journey and website experience optimization analytics Experience defining, developing, and communicating CRM and Consumer cohort insights Experience in consumer segmentation and developing a data-based cohort modeling The ability to communicate complex concepts to a variety of audiences Robust analytic, quantitative, statistical, and data interpretation skills, ability to transform data into actionable insights Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams, with a track record of driving results through effective team management and mentorship Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization Self-starter with a proactive and entrepreneurial spirit, able to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment while maintaining a focus on achieving both business and social goals Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Google Analytics, and Javascript are a plus Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferred What We Offer: Competitive compensation and benefits package Excellent training program and opportunities for career growth Diverse, mission-minded team Lifestyle Spending Account Continued education and professional development opportunities Employee discounts and perks Mental wellness support and resources Giving back and volunteer opportunities Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401k match Open PTO policy Parental leave Disability and life insurance Pre-tax commuter benefits Ready to Join Our Team?
