You will operate in a fast‑paced, multi‑channel environment—handling phone calls, emails, chat messages, and letters—while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and corporate regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers across inbound and outbound collection contacts, delivering a courteous, arenaflex-branded experience.
- Negotiate payment plans and settlement options tailored to the unique circumstances of each account holder.
- Identify and segment account holder profiles to recommend appropriate solutions, including handling bankruptcies, court‑ordered collections (CCC), deceased estates, fraud disputes, and billing errors.
- Adhere strictly to all credit and collections policies, regulatory guidelines, and internal compliance standards.
- Utilize a suite of digital tools—email, telephone, chat, and postal correspondence—to resolve issues efficiently and document interactions accurately.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional partners (e.g., legal, finance, customer experience) to ensure seamless case escalation and resolution.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge, staying up‑to‑date on credit terms, account charge structures, and emerging regulatory changes.
- Prioritize work in a high‑volume environment, balancing competing demands while meeting service level agreements (SLAs).
- Continuously improve personal performance metrics through coaching, self‑assessment, and adherence to best practices.
- Observe and enforce security protocols to protect arenaflex data and proprietary information while working from home.
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (additional education a plus).
- 1‑2 years of prior customer service or collections experience, preferably in a high‑volume call‑center setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven negotiation and conflict‑resolution abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort navigating multiple software platforms simultaneously.
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable high‑speed internet (minimum 40 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload) and a hard‑wired Ethernet connection for the corporate‑issued laptop.
- Dedicated, quiet home office space meeting ergonomics and safety standards (e.g., smoke detector, surge protector).
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg (approximately 55 lb) for equipment handling as needed.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Experience handling escalated consumer complaints and complex account scenarios.
- Familiarity with credit‑card terminology, collection legislation (FDCPA, state laws), and debt‑settlement processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while staying aligned with team goals and corporate culture.
- Strong analytical mindset—able to interpret data, identify trends, and propose process improvements.
- Technical troubleshooting skills for basic hardware and connectivity issues.
