They are seeking a motivated Sales Development Representative to conduct outbound prospecting, qualify leads, and support pipeline growth in the public safety and SaaS industries.
Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound prospecting via cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other channels to generate interest in our solutions
- Identify and qualify potential customers based on defined criteria, ensuring they are a good fit for our product
- Schedule meetings and demos for Account Executives to help move prospects further down the sales funnel
- Accurately log and track all activities, conversations, and opportunities in Hubspot (or other CRM tools)
- Work closely with marketing and sales teams to refine messaging, develop campaigns, and optimize lead conversion
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and best sales practices to improve outreach effectiveness
Skills
- 1-3 years of sales or customer service experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a persuasive and engaging approach
- Ability to handle objections and rejection and to continuously improve through feedback
- Comfortable using CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.), sales automation tools, and sales engagement tools
- Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for sales, lead generation, and relationship-building
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- A results-driven approach with a passion for exceeding goals
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
