Job Description:
We are hiring a Remote Vision Support Teacher to work with K-12 students. This position offers the flexibility of working from home while providing essential education services to visually impaired students.
Responsibilities:
? Conduct remote vision assessments.
? Develop accessible lesson plans and materials.
? Teach Braille, low vision strategies, and technology skills.
? Work closely with school staff to integrate supports into the curriculum.
? Report progress to parents and administrators regularly.
Qualifications:
? Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education for the Visually Impaired from an accredited institution.
? Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI).
? Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with visual impairments, with remote teaching experience preferred.
? Strong knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, and orientation and mobility strategies.
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students and collaborate with school teams remotely.
? Proficiency in using tele-education platforms and technology for remote service delivery.
