This role involves conducting online research to identify donors' professional backgrounds and compiling findings to strengthen donor engagement strategies.
Responsibilities
• Conduct online research to identify donors’ professional backgrounds, employers, industry affiliations, board memberships, and public business connections
• Analyze publicly available information (e.g., LinkedIn profiles, company websites, press releases, nonprofit annual reports)
• Compile and organize findings into clear, concise summaries for internal use
• Use Red Cross research systems to identify matches and connections
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold data privacy best practices at all times
• Collaborate with the philanthropy team to clarify research priorities and adjust focus as needed
Skills
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Ability to navigate professional databases, news sources, and social platforms
• Excellent written communication and documentation abilities
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Must live in the NYC Metro Area
• Familiarity with donor research, prospect development, or fundraising is helpful but not required
• Familiarity with Microsoft Suite or similar
