The Lotus Collaborative (TLC) is looking for a part-time PRN-contracted Registered Dietitian to provide services to our San Francisco and Santa Cruz based clients. TLC specializes in exceptional eating disorder treatment that's client-focused, strength-based, and individualized in a beautiful homelike setting. Key Requirements Interested candidates should have a nutrition science education, experience creating meal plans and nutrition education material, experience working with eating disorders, an anti-diet approach, and basic knowledge of intuitive eating principles. Given the nature of our clinical work, staff must have a good relationship with their body and food ( ie doesn’t diet, no rigid food/diet beliefs/behaviors). The RD must be registered and in good standing with the Commission of Dietetic Registration. Registration renewal is required every 5 years, and the RDN is responsible for fulfilling all CEU requirements to remain in good standing with the CDR. Additional state licensure is not required. Key Responsibilities • Completion of 60min Initial Nutrition Assessment: • Completing a comprehensive assessment, writing a treatment plan, and providing a customized meal plan • Creation monitoring and updating of Meal Plans: • Weekly or Bi-weekly Individual 30-minute Follow-up Sessions: • Providing necessary counseling, education and resources to clients in individual sessions as necessary to meet overall treatment goals • Documentation of all sessions, assessments, and meal plans in EMR system • Coordinating Care with client's treatment team • Collaborate with PCP and previous treatment providers • Provide updates on meal plan and nutrition goals • Inform outpatient providers of planned discharge • Send relevant documentation to external providers as needed • Collaborate with primary therapist to coordinate ongoing work and goals • Complete weekly summary of data and recommendations to give to Director for treatment team meetings The individual nutrition care for each client must include, but is not limited to, monitoring and communication of: • Weight, weight trends, weight goals • Vitals, labs, nutritional supplements, medical concerns • Meal plan adequacy and variety, in and out of program • Food challenges and exposures • Table behaviors, compensatory behaviors, nutrition-related ED behaviors • Meal planning skills, food prep skills, bringing food to program • Movement amount, movement privileges, medical clearance for movement • Barriers to discharge, nutrition-based recommendation for LOC • PCP and OP RD / Previous Tx RD recommendations This is a part-time contracted position, with a flexible schedule, and hours based on census/caseload.
