IMAGINiT Technologies, a division of Rand Worldwide, advances the way companies use 3D technology to design, develop, and manage complex engineering projects. The Junior Reality Capture Technician will support growing reality capture operations by executing projects involving 3D scanning and creating 3D models based on captured data.
Responsibilities
- Assist in performing 3D scans of buildings, construction sites, external structures like parking garages and lots using Leica BLK360, RTC360, and BLK2GO scanners
- Upload, process, and manage scan data using industry-standard software such as Leica Cyclone and Autodesk ReCap
- Support the creation of documentation and reports summarizing scanning activities and site observations
- Ensure scanning activities adhere to company standards and job site safety protocols
- Collaborate with senior technicians and project teams to integrate scan data into BIM and CAD workflows
Skills
- Familiarity with reality capture technologies and point cloud data
- Basic understanding of Manufacturing, Construction, or Civil industries
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with field personnel and project stakeholders
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently without supervision
- Frequent travel to various types of sites; valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Comfortable navigating busy job sites, including walking on uneven terrain and working near active equipment
- Ability to climb ladders, access elevated areas, and carry equipment weighing up to 25 lbs
