Real Estate Video Editor (Final Cut Pro) | Part-Time or Freelance

Ascendant Creative Co. is a fast-growing real estate media company based in Billings, MT. We help agents stand out with high-end listing videos and short-form content (Property Reels and Agent Reels) that look clean, modern, and premium. We are looking for a dependable Final Cut Pro editor who can deliver consistent, polished edits on deadline and communicate clearly. If you care about pacing, music choices, clean audio, and a high-end real estate look, this will be a great fit. Types of Edits Most work will be: • Property Reels (social media reels) • Agent Reels (agent on-camera plus b-roll social media reels) • Horizontal property videos (for YouTube and websites) Occasionally: • Cinematic property films • Promo, testimonial, or brand-story edits Typical Turnaround We plan around fast timelines, so reliability matters: • Most property video deliverables: 1 to 2-day turnaround • Agent Reels: 2 to 3-day turnaround • Cinematic films: around 4 days depending on scope You will usually have time for at least one revision pass before final client delivery. Responsibilities • Edit 4K footage in Final Cut Pro (multicam when needed) • Sync video and audio, build selects, assemble the story, and tighten pacing • Basic color correction and consistent finishing (we will provide direction and LUTs when needed) • Clean up and level audio, add music, and keep everything sounding professional • Custom captions (especially for Agent Reels) • Export and deliver in the correct formats (Reels plus horizontal versions) with good quality and manageable file sizes • Keep projects organized for revisions (folders, naming, and timelines that make sense) • Take feedback well and turn revisions around quickly You Are a Great Fit If You • Are fluent in Final Cut Pro • Have a Mac that can handle 4K workflows • Have strong pacing and music instincts and can make edits feel intentional and polished • Hit deadlines consistently and communicate early if something is off track • Are detail-oriented (stabilization, crop consistency, clean transitions, clean text timing, clean audio) • Can follow a defined style and keep edits consistent across projects Bonus Points • Real estate or architecture editing experience • Comfortable editing agent on-camera content (dialogue pacing and caption timing) • Familiar with LUT workflows and mixed camera footage (mirrorless plus drone) Location Remote. You can work from anywhere as long as you have a reliable setup, strong communication, and can consistently hit deadlines. Time Commitment 10 to 35 hours per week (freelance or part-time). Work volume can fluctuate seasonally.
