About the position

The Radiology Transcriptionist and Editor position at Neuroradiology Associates of Tampa involves transcribing and editing radiology reports and other healthcare documentation. The role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to ensure accurate transcription from audio and speech recognition files. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and skilled in managing transcription workflows while maintaining high accuracy and efficiency in their work.

Responsibilities
? Transcribe and edit radiology reports using medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology knowledge.

? Identify and correct dictation discrepancies and errors related to ordered examinations.

? Monitor transcription applications and manage multiple worklists, troubleshooting system problems as needed.

? Stay updated on new medical terminology, procedures, and medications using various resources.

Requirements
? Minimum of 5 years of experience in radiology transcription, with at least 2 years in speech recognition editing and proofing.

? Strong knowledge of medical and radiologic terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

? Experience with PowerScribe 360 and Dictaphone is preferred.

Nice-to-haves
