#1838 - Public Information Specialist 2 Digital Content Monitor websites, social media sites, and digital communications to ensure that information is kept current, fresh, informative, and appealing. Coordinate and review the upload content to YouTube and Flickr. Perform quality assurance checks of work to ensure that all editorial and graphic assets have been uploaded properly to the page and are free of technical issues. Use the content management system to create, modify, and edit webpages under the direction of management. Work with staff and serve as liaison with Information Technology staff as needed to manage HTML coding for e-mail blasts and custom media projects. Provide support executing social media strategies. Under the direction of the Director of Marketing and Design, the Public Information Specialist 2 (Digital Content), SG-23, will perform photography and graphic design responsibilities: Act as the Comptroller’s photographer for official events, press conferences and public appearances, as well as support events for senior leadership and internal initiatives/programs. Design a wide range of agency materials and marketing collaterals. Assist with determining and delegating work assignments and priorities as well as performing other duties as assigned. OR At least one (1) year of experience as a Public Information Specialist 1 (Digital Content). An Associate’s degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, Social Media, Digital Communications, or similar degree, can be substituted for two (2) years of general experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, Social Media, Digital Communications, or similar degree can be substituted for four (4) years of general experience.  A Master’s degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, Social Media, Digital Communications, or similar degree can be substituted for one (1) additional year of general experience (not to exceed five (5) years of total experience). Preferred Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  - Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Experience developing strategies and concepts for digital media. - Proficient in design software, including Figma and Adobe InDesign. - Strong background in UX design and accessibility. - Exceptional interpersonal skills. - Excellent attention to detail.
