Job Summary
The Program Lead is responsible for driving the successful implementation, management, and continuous improvement of the In-Community/Classrooms program and operations in their assigned region. This role ensures that programmatic goals are met with excellence, operational systems are efficient and aligned with organizational standards, and regional teams are supported, resourced, and accountable.
The Program Lead is responsible for ensuring participants engage in high quality programming and have a positive program experience for long term impact. The Program Lead role applies their knowledge of youth development, outdoor and experiential education, program quality systems, and demonstrated excellence in coaching and facilitation to provide direction and support to their team and the communities serve.
This role delivers program and supervises team members in the classroom. The Program Lead reports to the National Field Team Lead and will work collaboratively with the operations, impact, and facilitation and instruction teams to ensure a safe and impactful program experiences for all participants, as well as meaningful opportunities for stakeholder engagement.

Work Location
Montreal, Quebec: Regular travel is required within the assigned geographic areas (in and around Montreal, and Quebec City). This role will work remotely from Montreal. Travel beyond the primary geographic region will be required. Occasional travel will be required to the Home Office, located in St. George, Ontario.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Leadership & Management
- Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of in-community and camp-based programs in Montreal, Quebec City and surrounding areas. Ensure alignment with organizational goals and standards.
- Develop, deliver, review, and improve creative and innovative programming to be delivered at schools, and community locations while ensuring alignment with outcomes and program quality frameworks.
- Foster a culture of innovation and creativity through building outcome specific, engaging, creative, fun and interactive programs.
- Facilitate programs based on Tims Camps program curriculum, standards, and local operating procedures.
- Monitor program performance and outcomes, using data to guide decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Provide direct support and coaching to program staff to maintain program quality and fidelity in the program.
- Work collaboratively with Impact team to identify and scale best practices across region to strengthen regional impact.
- Ensure participants are engaged and recognized for their contributions and achievements.
- Communicate with educators, parents, guardians and other stakeholders as required.
Regional Operations Oversight
- Develop and maintain operational systems that support scalability, efficiency, and accountability for in-community program operations.
- Provide input into forecasting and strategic planning.
- Ensure region-specific risk management policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
- Ensure the health, safety, risk management and emergency preparedness of in-community delivery centres.
- Act as the primary regional lead. Follow the established escalation chart in the event of an emergency.
- Ensure training and competency of all team members with respect to risk management, health and safety, and emergency procedures.
- Be accountable for risk assessment and implementation of Tims Camps safety standards/protocols/procedures.
- Ensure staff and participants are following proper safety standards and or guidelines that apply to work in a school/community setting.
- Complete emergency response training and ensure clear understanding of assigned responsibilities while working on location/site.
- Ensure communication, registration, and all applicable paperwork is collected and complete for programming.
- Complete all necessary documentation in Salesforce. Ensure all Tims Camps Salesforce practices are
- Ensure program equipment is ready and available for safe use.
Team Leadership & Development
- Provide positive and constructive feedback and ongoing facilitation coaching and support to staff.
- Support the delivery of staff training and the recruitment process as assigned.
- Assist with the supervision and evaluation of staff. Manage achievement and development through coaching, feedback and full utilization of the Foundation’s Learning and Achievement System.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, equity, and high performance.
- Foster strong internal communication and collaboration across teams and departments.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, Restaurant Owners, schools, educators, and other key stakeholders.
- Represent Tims Camps at local events, meetings, and public forums. Ensure consistent front-line hospitable and customer service-oriented presence.
- Seek opportunities to engage with Restaurant Owners and other stakeholders to promote the program.
- Work collaboratively with Communications and Fundraising teams to support engagement and promotional campaigns.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with centralized support teams to align regional and organizational strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree and/or college background in education, nonprofit management, outdoor recreation or related field. Bachelor of Education degree considered an asset.
- 5 years of related experience in program delivery, education, camp, management and/or operations – preferably in nonprofit, education, or youth development settings
- Bilingual (French and English) is required.
- Demonstrated excellence in ability to lead groups of children/classrooms through engaging facilitation and program delivery skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Access to a personal vehicle and licensed with a valid G Class Driver’s License, or equivalent (required).
- Must have, or be able to obtain upon hire, the required level of third-party liability insurance coverage for the role (business class).
- Daily travel required within designated geographic area from Sept - May. Must be able to work a flexible schedule which could include working early mornings, evenings and weekends.
- Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector search (VSS)
- Valid passport and ability to travel as required for role.
